Slack water (2013)

Slack water is part of the Margins and commons series of works that is conceived of as an exploration of marginal public spaces. This work was shot at the junction of the Cooks River and Canterbury Road south west of the Sydney CBD. Here the constraints of the river and the bridge mean that the Cooks River cycle path has to go into this low and narrow underpass, that produces interactions between walkers and cyclists, as they are forced to negotiate this awkward, marginal space.
